This programme includes the second Irish performance of Donnacha Dennehy's That the Night Come since its first performance at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in October 2010. We will be joined by the wonderful Dawn Upshaw, US Grammy Award-winning soprano, for whom this Yeats inspired song-cycle was written.

Kilkenny Arts Festival 2013 will also present the world premiere of its new commission by US composer Michael Gordon written especially for Crash Ensemble to celebrate the festival's milestone anniversary. This commission was funded by the Arts Council.

This will be another opportunity to hear Drones, Variations, Ornaments by THE young American composer of the moment, Nico Muhly ,which was commissioned by Crash Ensemble with funds from the Arts Council in 2011.

Crash Ensemble will deliver several other site-specific events over the course of this year's festival.
