Tonight is the night we will premiere Glenn Branca's Thought, written especially for us with the support of the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival and our :fund:it supporters.
In today's The Irish Times, Donnacha Dennehy says:
"We are so happy that so many people were so generous in these difficult times. It shows that people believe in the value of new art".
Alongside this premiere by Branca, we will perform the wonderful 'Looping Point' by one of Ireland's greatest composers Kevin Volans, as well as a birthday celebration of Nico Muhly's 'Drones, Variations, Ornaments' (2011) and a brand new arrangement of Disposable Dissonance by Donnacha Dennehy, which was originally performed by Icebreaker.
