Roddy O’Keeffe is one of the original members of Crash Ensemble, having been there that fateful night in October, 1997! Roddy developed an interest in contemporary music while still an undergraduate student at the DIT Conservatory, and is very glad that he applied to an ad on the college notice board looking for a trombonist for a new music group. With Crash Ensemble, Roddy has toured extensively in Europe, North America and beyond, as well as featuring on numerous recordings. Furthering his involvement with contemporary music, he is a member of the Quiet Music Ensemble, with whom he has performed at numerous prestigious festivals such as London’s Deep Minimalism Festival. Roddy has also recorded with QME, and has been involved in their acclaimed live broadcasts.
